A Girl Like Me is the second album by Bajan/Guyanese singer Rihanna. The album was released through Def Jam Records on April 25, 2006 (April 24th in the UK). The lead single "SOS" (also known as "SOS (Rescue Me)") has achieved considerable airplay throughout the United States and Canada and has reached high peak positions on both airplay charts. It contains samples of the 1981 cover version of "Tainted Love" from Soft Cell.

The Diary of Alicia Keys is the second studio album from American R&B/soul singer and pianist Alicia Keys, released on December 2, 2003 in the United States (see 2003 in music). It went on to win the 2005 Grammy Award for "Best R&B Album". The album includes the hit singles "You Don't Know My Name" (produced by Kanye West), "If I Ain't Got You", "Diary" (featuring Tony! Toni! Toné!), and "Karma".

The Sweet Escape is the second solo album by American pop rock singer Gwen Stefani. It was released in various countries in early December 2006. The first single released from the album was lead track "Wind It Up", which Stefani premiered on her Harajuku Lovers Tour in 2005.The second sigle from the album "the Sweet Escape" feat Akon proved to be a big hit across the world and charting highly. Stefani confirmed that she did not intend to make a follow-up album to her 2004 debut solo album Love.Angel.Music.Baby., but had "a couple of amazing leftover tracks" from the latter album, so she decided to start a new record. It debuted at #1 on the Australian ARIA Urban Album Chart and at #15 on the ARIA Album Chart and went Gold in its first week. The album also charted at #26 on the UK Top 75 Album Chart. The Sweet Escape Tour is set to start in April 2007 and is expected to be a full-on World Tour.

Loose is the third album by Canadian pop singer-songwriter Nelly Furtado, released by Geffen Records on June 9, 2006 outside North America and on June 20, 2006 in Canada and the United States. Timbaland and his partner Danja produced the bulk of the album, which debuted high on charts across the world.

The Dutchess (2006) is the solo debut album of American pop singer Fergie, a member of The Black Eyed Peas. The title is an intentional misspelling of the title "the Duchess of York," as Fergie (a derivate her last name "Ferguson") and Sarah Ferguson, the real Duchess of York, share a surname and nickname. will.i.am was an executive producer for the album. Ludacris, B-Real from Cypress Hill and Rita Marley all make guest appearances.[1] Fergie has made it clear in interviews that she will still be an active member in the Black Eyed Peas. The Dutchess debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 in the United States with sales of over 150,000. Released on July 18, 2006, "London Bridge" was The Dutchess' first single. Making one of the largest jumps in the Billboard Hot 100 chart's history, "London Bridge" reached the #1 spot for three consecutive weeks. The second single, "Fergalicious," was released on October 23, 2006 peaked at #2 on the Hot 100. The third single, "Glamorous," was released on January 28, 2007 and has so far peaked #9 on the Hot 100 making it her third top ten single in the U.S.

FutureSex/LoveSounds is Justin Timberlake’s second solo studio album since *NSync disbanded in 2002. Academy Award winning rap group Three 6 Mafia are featured on the seventh track on the album called "Chop Me Up", along with another Timbaland appearance. Additionally, will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas is featured on the eighth track, "Damn Girl". Rap artist Snoop Dogg is featured on "Pose", the bonus track of the album. This particular song features a sample from the Justified single "Like I Love You".
