Underworld: Evolution is a 2006 action/horror film, directed by Len Wiseman. It is a sequel to the 2003 film Underworld, and follows on from the plot of the first film, continuing the conflict between vampires and Lycans, also highlighting the beginnings of the feud.Track listing:

Recorded in five days, the soundtrack for the Disney Channel Original Movie, High School Musical, was released on January 10, 2006 and was the best selling album of 2006 with over 3.8 million copies. It debuted at #143 on the Billboard 200, selling 6,469 copies in its first week and climbed to #1 on the Billboard album chart in early March and again in late March of 2006. It has been certified 4x Platinum. The album has also reached #1 on both the iTunes Best Selling Albums and on Amazon.com's Top Sellers for Music, as well as producing five songs on the iTunes Top 10 Best Selling Songs, and also producing five Top 40 hit singles on the Billboard Hot 100. The High School Musical soundtrack is also the first TV soundtrack to be No.1 in the Billboard since Miami Vice.Track listing:

Just recently LP Underground 6.0 was announced. Seemingly as soon as it was announced the CD was leaked over the internet. The CD includes a studio demo version of "Qwerty" (which may have been recorded to compromise for it not appearing on the upcoming album) and a new instrumental song called "Announcement Service Public". In it Chester Bennington's vocals are reversed. Chester can be heard saying "You Should Brush Your Teeth And You Should Wash Your Hands." when the track is played in reverse.Track listing:

Shine On is the second album by Melbourne rock band Jet, released in early October 2006. The title of the album was revealed on the band's website homepage. iTunes leaked the album in the Australian and UK stores on 16 September 2006, over two weeks before the actual release date.[1] After iTunes leaked the album, Shine On made its way onto file sharing sites through forums of similar bands and people shared that information with other people on Jet's MySpace page. On 23 September 2006, Triple J premiered the album on its Music Specials show along with interviews with the band. A day later, Nova 100 played the entire album on the radio as a preview.Track listing:

Black Holes and Revelations is the fourth studio album by English rock band Muse. It was released in various countries in early July 2006. The name "Black Holes and Revelations" is explained by Bellamy in his September 2006 interview for Q magazine: "Black holes and revelations -- they're the two areas of songwriting for me that make up the majority of this album. A revelation about yourself, something personal, something genuine of an everyday nature that maybe people can relate to. Then the black holes are these songs that are from the more... unknown regions of the imagination." Sam's Town is the second studio album by Las Vegas-based rock band The Killers. It was released in early October 2006 by Island Records and Lizard King Records. The album is said to be influenced by the works of Bruce Springsteen and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, among others. Eminem Presents: The Re-Up is the compilation album from rapper Eminem. The album first began as a street mixtape project -- an official CD with raw production values--designed to help launch new Shady Records artists Stat Quo, Ca$his, and Bobby Creekwater. A handful of tracks were produced by The Alchemist, who also compiled the album in true mixtape fashion. Each of the tracks makes its official CD debut on Eminem Presents: The Re-Up, though Obie Trice's Cry Now (Remix), produced by LT Moe, was recently released on mixtapes and to radio. The first single and video was "You Don't Know" from Eminem, 50 Cent, Ca$his and Lloyd Banks.The Re-Up also gave acclaimed hip-hop producer The Alchemist a chance to work with Shady's new regime. After joining forces on-stage as Eminem's DJ on last year's Anger Management Tour 3, Alchemist and Eminem began collaborating in the studio. This new album features the results of this anticipated collaboration with new tracks produced by The Alchemist featuring Stat Quo, Ca$his, Bobby Creekwater and Obie Trice.

Ten Thousand Fists is the third full album by Disturbed, released in stores on September 20, 2005 - three years and three days after the release of their previous album Believe. It became Disturbed's 2nd straight #1 debut on the Billboard 200 charts as well as their second #1 album in New Zealand. It also reached #2 in Canada, #11 in Australia, #21 in Germany,#37 in Austria, #59 in the UK, and #62 in Switzerland. The album was certified Platinum on January 6, 2006. The track "Guarded" was released to rock and metal stations in late June as a teaser, and the fully promoted first single "Stricken" was released on July 20, 2005, and was the theme song for World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE)'s pay-per-view New Year's Revolution on January 8, 2006. The 2nd single from the album was "Just Stop". The album also features "Land of Confusion" which is a cover of the Genesis song. The song will be the third single from the album, and the band worked with Todd McFarlane and Greg Capullo on the video (renowned comic book artists responsible for Ten Thousand Fists album cover).Track Listings :

A Girl Like Me is the second album by Bajan/Guyanese singer Rihanna. The album was released through Def Jam Records on April 25, 2006 (April 24th in the UK). The lead single "SOS" (also known as "SOS (Rescue Me)") has achieved considerable airplay throughout the United States and Canada and has reached high peak positions on both airplay charts. Stadium Arcadium is the Grammy award-winning, first double album (excluding Live in Hyde Park), and ninth studio album by alternative/funk rock band, the Red Hot Chili Peppers. It was released in May of 2006. Over one million copies of the album were sold within the same month of release in Europe. The title has gone gold or platinum in 16 countries across Europe, and has sold over 6 million copies total worldwide to date, making it the best selling album of 2006. The album was nominated for seven Grammy Awards in 2007: Album of the Year, Best Short Form Music Video ("Dani California"), Best Rock Album, Best Rock Song ("Dani California"), Best Rock Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocal ("Dani California"), Best Boxed Set or Special Limited Edition Package, and Producer of the Year ("Rick Rubin"), all of which it won except for Album of the Year and Best Short Music Video. Stadium Arcadium has gone on to become the band's most nominated album of their 24-year career. Rolling Stone named Stadium Arcadium the second best album of 2006 and Billboard named it the 8th best album of the year.

Back to Basics is the third full-length English studio album from American pop singer-songwriter Christina Aguilera. The album was released August 15, 2006 in the United States and Canada, on August 9, 2006 in Japan, and on August 12 in Australia. The album was released in Europe on several dates, starting at the 9th of August 2006, and ending on the 22nd of August 2006. It was leaked to the internet two weeks before the actual release date. The album features what Aguilera describes as "a throwback to the 20s, 30s, and 40s-style jazz, blues, and feel-good soul music, but with a modern twist."The album has sold over 3.4 million copies worldwide so far (with worldwide shipments of over 4 million). Her album has been nominated for the Best Pop Vocal Album Grammy Award, and the lead single from the album, "Ain't No Other Man", won Best Female Pop Vocal Performance Grammy Award. The Sweet Escape is the second solo album by American pop rock singer Gwen Stefani. It was released in various countries in early December 2006. The first single released from the album was lead track "Wind It Up", which Stefani premiered on her Harajuku Lovers Tour in 2005.The second sigle from the album "the Sweet Escape" feat Akon proved to be a big hit across the world and charting highly. Stefani confirmed that she did not intend to make a follow-up album to her 2004 debut solo album Love.Angel.Music.Baby., but had "a couple of amazing leftover tracks" from the latter album, so she decided to start a new record. It debuted at #1 on the Australian ARIA Urban Album Chart and at #15 on the ARIA Album Chart and went Gold in its first week. The album also charted at #26 on the UK Top 75 Album Chart. The Sweet Escape Tour is set to start in April 2007 and is expected to be a full-on World Tour.

Prison Break is an American television series that premiered on the Fox Network on August 29, 2005. The story revolves around a man who was sentenced to death for a crime he did not commit and his brother's elaborate plan to help him escape his death sentence. Created by Paul Scheuring, the show is produced by Adelstein-Parouse Productions in association with Original Television and 20th Century Fox Television. The current executive producers are Paul Scheuring, Matt Olmstead, Dawn Parouse, Marty Adelstein, Neal Moritz and Brett Ratner. Its theme music is composed by Ramin Djawadi, and was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award in 2006. The show is currently undergoing its second season, which premiered on August 21, 2006. Having planned two seasons worth of story beforehand, executive producer Paul Scheuring says, "With success comes questions about Season Three, so now we’re framing the first two seasons as chapter one of the ‘trilogy’."
The serialised story structure of Prison Break is attributed to the format of storytelling adapted by the writers as each episode covers a part of the escape plan, a similar format used by Lost and 24. The first season of Prison Break was primarily filmed at Joliet Prison which also contributed to the uniqueness of the show. Its success and recognition as a prison drama also revived interest in the genre. The show's official magazine, published by Titan Publishing, was launched on 21 November 2006.

I'm Not Dead is the fourth album by pop singer P!nk, released in North America on April 4, 2006 (see 2006 in music); it was released a day earlier in most other territories. P!nk worked with producers billymann, Josh Abraham, Swedish hit maker Max Martin, and Luke Gottwald, Butch Walker and Mike Elizondo co-wrote the tracks, which range from the intrinsically personal to political. The album was originally titled "Long Way to Happy", after the song of the same name, but P!nk changed her mind because she thought I'm Not Dead made a stronger statement that this was a comeback album.

The Dutchess (2006) is the solo debut album of American pop singer Fergie, a member of The Black Eyed Peas. The title is an intentional misspelling of the title "the Duchess of York," as Fergie (a derivate her last name "Ferguson") and Sarah Ferguson, the real Duchess of York, share a surname and nickname. will.i.am was an executive producer for the album. Ludacris, B-Real from Cypress Hill and Rita Marley all make guest appearances.[1] Fergie has made it clear in interviews that she will still be an active member in the Black Eyed Peas. The Dutchess debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 in the United States with sales of over 150,000. Released on July 18, 2006, "London Bridge" was The Dutchess' first single. The second single, "Fergalicious," was released on October 23, 2006 peaked at #2 on the Hot 100. The third single, "Glamorous," was released on January 28, 2007 and has so far peaked #9 on the Hot 100 making it her third top ten single in the U.S.

Academy Award winning rap group Three 6 Mafia are featured on the seventh track on the album called "Chop Me Up", along with another Timbaland appearance. Additionally, will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas is featured on the eighth track, "Damn Girl". Rap artist Snoop Dogg is featured on "Pose", the bonus track of the album. Sublime is the self-titled hit album released by the eponymous band. It was originally intended to be called Killin' It, but the band and record label agreed to respectfully substitute an eponymous title due to lead singer Bradley Nowell's death before the album's release. The album was a major commercial success, going five times platinum in 1999 and etching Sublime into a permanent place among the stars of mid-90s alternative rock. Its most popular single, "What I Got", was an uncharacteristically poppy song; the bulk of the album was faithful to Sublime's ska, dub, and reggae influences, with tempos ranging from the frantic — such as "Seed," "Same in the End," and "Paddle Out" — to the slow and deliberate, such as "Pawn Shop" and "Jailhouse."
The musical styles throughout the album vary nearly as much as the subjects discussed, ranging from the mellow groove of "Doin' Time" and reggae beat of "Caress Me Down" to the pop-rock "What I Got" and the hard-punk sound of "Paddle Out". The genre-crossing musical diversity expressed on the album is one of the more compelling reasons for the record's wide mainstream appeal.
The album marked the band's debut on a major label (MCA) after several releases on Skunk Records. Lead singer Bradley Nowell died two months before the release and success of the album.
